Call with your business number from anywhere
You call with your own business number from the office, home, and on the road, and you change the call menu yourself.
The phones at the office hang off a box in the utility closet. Nobody knows exactly who once set it up, and the installer who maintained it is gone. So whoever works from home calls with their own mobile, and a private number shows up on the customer's screen. And changing the call menu is only possible once a technician comes by. We take that phone system away and put in telephony that moves with the people.
Why your old phone system gets in the way
A classic phone system is hardware. It sits in a cabinet, it has a fixed number of lines, and it can do exactly what the installer put into it years ago. An extra workstation means waiting for a card that has to be ordered. Changing a text in the call menu means scheduling an appointment. And if the box breaks, the telephony is down until someone comes by with a part.
With cloud telephony that phone system is no longer in your building. The calls run through servers in the EU, and your desk phones, laptops, and mobile phones register with it. Those servers sit in our managed environments, and exactly where is stated in your data processing agreement. What really changes is who manages the system and how fast you can change something in it. Adding a new colleague is then a matter of a few minutes instead of an order.
Call from anywhere, on any device
A number no longer hangs on a wall socket, but on a person. Whoever works from home answers in the app on their laptop, whoever is on the road in the app on their phone, and at the office the desk phone simply rings. The customer always sees the business number, even when your colleague is in the car. Private numbers stay private, and a colleague who has the day off no longer has to silence their own phone.
Around that we set up what you really use every day: a call menu you can change yourself, a queue for the front desk or the service desk, a forward that switches on automatically outside office hours, and a voicemail that lands in the mailbox as an audio file. More than that we do not turn on. A menu with seven options in which your customers mostly get lost is not an improvement.
Keeping your numbers, and the day of the switch
Your numbers come along. Number portability is regulated by law, so you keep the number that has been on your van, your invoices, and your website for years. We port it from your current provider, agree a date, and make sure the old lines are only disconnected the moment the new ones work. In the free intake we first count exactly which numbers you have, because an old contract almost always holds more than you think, and sometimes one that has not led anywhere for years.
The switch itself we plan at a moment that costs little: a Friday evening, or the start of a quiet week. We build the setup in advance and test it with a temporary number, so on the day itself only the switch remains. Afterward you are the owner of your own setup and your numbers, even if you want to carry on with another party later. If something does not work as agreed, we tell you right away.
What your network has to be able to do for this
Telephony over the internet is sensitive to a mediocre network. A call rarely drops completely; it starts to sound tinny or to stutter, and that is harder to find than an outage that is simply there. So in the intake we look at your connection, your switches, and your Wi-Fi before we say anything about voice quality. Usually we give voice traffic priority over the rest, so a large upload or a backup in the middle of the day does not disturb a call.
If your cabling or your Wi-Fi turns out to be the weak spot, we take that on through Network design and installation or through Business Wi-Fi and site survey. If you want to know before your colleagues report it, we connect the line to 24/7 network monitoring: systems that keep an eye on the line with an agreed escalation. If people work structurally from another location, VPN and zero trust often belongs with that, so the phone and the rest of their work run over the same secured connection.

FAQ
FAQ
Do we keep our own phone numbers?
Yes. Number portability is regulated by law, so the numbers on your van and your invoices simply come along. We port them from your current provider and make sure the old lines are only disconnected once the new ones work.
Can we keep using our existing desk phones?
Often, yes. Phones that speak SIP we simply connect to the new system. If a phone is too old or was locked by the previous vendor, we tell you right away instead of building a workaround.
What happens to calling if the internet goes down?
Then incoming calls are automatically forwarded to mobile numbers, so a customer still gets someone on the line. We make sure your connection and your network are in order, and if you like, 24/7 network monitoring keeps an eye on the line.
