A cloud setup you can explain, expand, and afford
A mapped cloud environment where you know what runs, where your data sits, and roughly what next month's bill will be.
You ended up in the cloud without anyone ever drawing it. One server runs with one provider because a supplier advised it at the time. A database runs with another because it was cheaper then. The backups sit somewhere, and nobody knows who holds the key. It works until you want to expand or the bill suddenly jumps. Then it turns out nobody in your organization can explain the whole.
Why a cloud bill suddenly grows
It almost always comes down to the same four things. Machines are running that someone switched on for a test and never switched off. Storage is full of files with no cleanup rule, year after year. Data travels back and forth between two components that should have been placed side by side. And a test environment is as heavy as the real one, because copying the settings was faster than deciding what it needed.
These are not purchasing mistakes. They are design mistakes. What runs where, and what talks to what, shapes your bill far more than your provider's hourly rate. So we start with the floor plan, not the price list. The cleanup itself belongs to Cloud cost optimization. Here, we make sure the problem does not come straight back.
Draw first, then build
We make a diagram your people can point at. Which components exist, where they run, which connections link them, where each kind of data sits, and what happens if one of the blocks fails. We ask that last question per component, because the answer differs. An hour without your online store is not the same as an hour without your time tracking. That difference belongs in the design, not in hoping for the best.
Then we build the riskiest part first. Within 10 business days, you have a working trial of the component you doubt most, with real data in it. You learn whether the setup holds before you build anything around it. If the intake shows that your current environment is already sound and you mainly need to clean up, we tell you right away and stop there.
Where your data sits and who can reach it
Your environment runs in our managed environments in European data centers. We write down where everything runs, under which conditions, and how you can leave. The design also covers the dull parts: who may log in, who may change things, where the keys are kept, and what gets logged. These questions are easy to answer while the environment is new. They are painful to ask after an incident.
If you need to meet ISO 27001 or NEN 7510 (the Dutch healthcare security standard), we set up the environment so the auditor gets what the auditor asks for. The certificate comes from the independent auditor you choose; we make sure your environment and your evidence pass the audit. For ongoing oversight, we add monitoring: systems that watch along and alert a person, following an agreed escalation, when something goes wrong.
Grow without rebuilding
A good setup grows in small pieces. You absorb a peak in the fall by adding a component for a while, not by renting a heavier server all year. Tasks that run only now and then often go to Serverless computing, so you pay only when they do real work. Files, exports, and archives belong in Object storage (S3), not on the expensive disk of a machine that happened to have room.
If you deliberately work with more than one provider, we draw that so it stays manageable, and the day-to-day work continues under Multi-cloud management. In every case, you keep the same set of things: the diagram, the configuration, the cost estimate, and the documentation. They are yours, so you are not tied to us to keep using them.
01, RESULT
- A diagram of your cloud environment with all components and connections
- A justified cost estimate per environment and per month
- Access management with documented permissions and keys
- A backup and recovery setup with a tested recovery scenario
- Documentation that lets another provider take over
Process diagram
02, HOW WE WORK
-
We map what runs today, with which providers, and who has access to what.
-
We draw the target setup
components, connections, storage, and what is allowed to fail.
-
Within 10 business days, we build a working trial of the most important part.
-
You test it with real data and real users before we go further.
-
We build the final environment, document everything, and hand over the management to you.
FAQ
FAQ
Do we have to move to the cloud first?
No. If you still run your own servers, the design is part of a Cloud migration project, and we decide together what moves and what stays. If part of it stays on your own hardware, the topic is Hybrid cloud, and we design both halves as one setup.
Will this make our cloud cheaper?
Usually, but a design does not promise it. The architecture decides where the money goes. The actual cleanup belongs to Cloud cost optimization. If your current setup is fine and you only need to switch a few things off, we tell you right away.
Where does our data sit, and who owns the environment?
Your data sits in our managed environments in European data centers, within the EU. The configuration and documentation are yours, so you can continue with another provider at any time.
