Stock Numbers Do Not Match My Shelves

Hi,

Where do I start looking? Since last week's updates my stock is wrong.

Two guides sold while the shop still showed them in stock. One says out of stock with 40 in the back!

What plugins have been updated this past week? Anything else besides WooCommerce that could be writing stock numbers on your site?

Both WooCommerce & the bookkeeping sync plugin have been updated this week as well. So they're both on the latest updates.

From the till, it uploads our stock once every hour to the online shop. We also use the bookkeeping software. So I do have stock numbers from that system as well.

So the till, the bookkeeping software and our shop all get updated at different times; I need to fix it so they match.

It could be your page caching system, it'll serve previous product pages until it sees the update. I recommend excluding your product pages from your caching system.

Caching only affects the badge on the page, because the quantity in stock is taken directly from the database (as it's taken when the item is added to the cart). More likely there is another system that is updating the same stock field. I think thats probably where the problem is.

you need to:

Go to the failed scheduled stock jobs, then the 'oneway from the till' sync only

Import the quantities from the till again

Check the 'hold stock minutes' and confirm that it is set for products and product variations

Same after that update - the sync would always write back the pre-sale quantity every hour - I oversold 2 items by then

I've now reimported my quantities from till export and set to one way sync and my quantities have now been syncing over the past 3 days

31 were out: I'm also one variable product left to fix manually
