Stripe Adaptive Pricing patch out

Patched versions of Stripe for WooCommerce are out for a payment validation problem on 14th July for stores that use Adaptive Pricing: https://developer.woocommerce.com/2026/07/14/advisory-stripe-for-woo-patch/

Do we see other users who are running the Adaptive Pricing system here?

Adaptive Pricing is the option you can choose when you're going to display price to your customers in the local currency as per stripe exchange rate.

Any store with that turned off won't fall under the advisory as they've said.

How can a store check if they're impacted and which version is considered as patched?

Compare your plugins version to those listed here on this advisory. Look at your plugins list and compare:

Under the Plugins tab in WordPress, it'll list what plugin versions you've installed.

You can compare what's listed here on this advisory with your own. Then look at your stripe settings.

Check whether you have the Adaptive Pricing toggle under your Stripe settings.

@omarsami7080 Unfortunately: the Auto-Update process wasn't able to pull the patch one day later.

Also as you may know, for the new plugin update process (wich went into place in June) that is for 24 hours of cool down. For those reasons, the quicker method is to update manually.

But is it the same case with a security-type patch. Is the security patch immediately published or does the cooldown affect it as well.

I am not certain how exceptions work; the June post talks about cooldown in a general context.

For that reason, I assume it is safer to apply the update now manually, than wait for a cooldown.

We applied the update manually!

I just did a test order in a foreign currency. The transaction was successful and the amount matched what I expected.

We are still on PayPal Standard: I guess because of the sunset notice this will be the second migration we have had this summer 😅

Yes we got that sunset notice in June for PayPal Standard, there is an upgrade path available to PayPal 4.1.0

But, i think it's better done before the busy season than after it.
