Save for Later and Wishlists Experimental in WooCommerce 10.9

I just discovered that WooCommerce 10.9 introduced experimental "Save for Later" and "Wishlists" features, but only for logged-in shoppers...

The logged-in part is the catch for me, but could someone tell me if you would enable these experimental features on your live shop now, or wait until WooCommerce marks these new features as 'stable'?

Currently it's a feature toggle. It only works if someone has logged-in so in a shop with mostly logged-out customers. You wont see anything different either way.

I just want to ask one more: Do any of your members actually log in or is it nearly all guests?

Just curious, is this to take the place of the wish-list plugin I bought last year?

Other wishlist plugins add such features like sharing the wish list link, notifications when the prices drop or wish list analytics. But for now we just have an ordinary list with the products that the shopper wants to buy.

Experimental in core is fine in a live shop when the feature is additive and can be switched off.

A wishlist doesn't touch checkout.

What part are you worried about breaking?

Anything that requires saving info to the shopper creates migration pain if it's not 100% certain how it's going to store it in a stable release..

I was thinking about this one. Are these shopper lists being saved as meta on a user or as new tables?

Does anyone know?

This is a concern as some people may be storing data on their users and some may be using other methods to save that data.
Wouldnt this potentially mess up everything when things migrate?
This needs to be 100% resolved.

And the "ask for testing" blog post doesn't answer this one.

I'll check the code though.

BTW I am just thinking that the answers I get for people are gonna be quite variable since everyone can be saving such shopper list data with different methods, obviously.

Hmmm, Wishlists brings to mind gift registries for me. Is anyone still using gift registries with WooCommerce?

There is one for my relative's wedding still on a woocommerce 2014 site; I dare not touch.

There are plugins for this but it's very to the use case.
Coming back to the original topic: WooCommerce Wishlist would not be a substitute for these use cases.

Fair, the storage format point is a good one.

I will activate it in staging, won't do that in production before it's stable.

I did not see any info on where/how the lists are stored so I'll assume that the feature is staging only unti it leaves experimental.
