Leaving the WordPress 7.0 AI Hub On for Non-Technical Clients

First of all here's the deal

With WP 7.0 you will find all the AI functionalities you want to offer to your customers, that's all one place, one hub, in your WP Admin.

The question is - and please give me your insights here:

For a non-technical WP customer (where the website runs her yoga studio), do you want to show, setup and maintain it, or should it just be off?

I've got to make a call about this - curious to see what's going on out their...

As a default we never switch on these for client sites as anything sending info to a 3rd party model will require a data processing agreement which the client won't be able to evaluate. We switch it on as it's needed or when asked by a client.

As a shop owner I really would like to have the help with writing product descriptions switched on.

This lines up with what most people I talk to are asking for in thier shop.

There's a recent MIT Technology Review article that discusses AI's role with small businesses (this month's edition).

And basically says the cases where AI pays off are routine text like product descriptions, book-keeping like tasks and research not large automation.

I can see clients that I speak with asking me about writing up these new products as they get in.

Some are asking about researching things they haven't been able to.

Does this hub call external services on it's own or does nothing happen until they have a provider set?

Nothing happened until a provider was linked when playing with the abilities. So the major choice to make is who selects a provider and agrees to transfer data.

As far as I know it'll mark every product description as Premium.

Middle ground seems to be to keep the hub turned on - connect their provider under their account - so they can run thier own data agreement - they run there own account. As well - give them details on what capabilities they've enabled.

Understood - That resolves the data question since they own the account. I'd still list what abilities they have enabled in the maintenance agreement though. Fair?

My agency set it up exactly this way: the invoice from the service provider comes to the shop and that way, it's an informed decision they make and it's clear that it's a cost for them as well.
