Shop Still On PHP 8.1

Renewal mail from our host says the PHP 8.1 the shop runs on stopped getting security fixes end of December. The VPS was set up by the previous builder and I'm super lost there.

Feels like the moment to move. Where do you keep a shop of a few hundred products?

I'd pull those two apart: getting the shop off PHP 8.1 doesn't have to mean moving anywhere.

With pulling those two apart: I'd do the PHP switch on a copy of the shop first, not on the live one, so you can see what breaks before anyone notices...

And for my site I did move to managed hosting later, but that was to save support time, not because of the PHP version.

Fair point about keeping the two things apart, I was lumping them together in my head. The staging copy makes sense: I'll switch PHP there first and see what breaks before touching the live shop.
