Your certbot setup is exactly the case where nothing changes, and the same goes for anyone whose host renews the cert automatically.. Most of the free certs already renew at least every few months, so a shorter cap barely registers.
Where it can bite is a shop with a cert someone bought and installed by hand once a year.
