My routine before a sale starts

My Diwali sale on the printable guide started almost five hours late last year. Nobody came to the site after midnight so it just sat their waiting for the first visitor.

Now I set the sale dates one day before itself and check the timezone in general settings. My son asked Hostinger support to run the scheduled tasks on a timer. Then just after midnight I open the shop in a private window.

If I'm missing some step then what do you think?

The timezone one for me: it has caught me before and it is easy to forget. Also worth running the whole thing on a staging copy of the shop, with a sale that starts in ten minutes.

Good question about the start! But what about the end?

Ah yes, this only applies if you have an End Date selected per product, otherwise it simply keeps the discounted price. You could always check that column prior to the weekend. Just one quick question: do you fill in the end date straight away when you set the sale or only later?
