who here still does free returns, and did charging for them just cost orders? I exported Analytics > Orders for September to "refunds-sept.csv", ran a small script over it, and the refund share isn't nice.
Mostly clothes. People just order the same shirt in M and L, keep one, send one back. Return shipping is paid by me, so on a cheap item the margin is just gone. Refunds are done by hand like on https://woocommerce.com/document/managing-orders/, no extra plugin for returns, and that stays.
Thinking of a flat return fee taken off the refund. Not sure the shop survives that though, half the orders here are try-on orders.
